Qinhuangdao Beach

We wanted to go to the beach so bad and had a trip planned for a month. The first time we tried to go we already had hotel booked but were unaware of how quickly speed trains sell out. We had to re-book out hotel and get train tickets 2 weeks in advance. We left at 9 in the morning on Saturday and were at the Holiday Inn by 12pm. It was a cloudy day but we took our chance. The hotel was really nice and right on the beach. We just walked outside and we were there. We stayed and walked on the beach for about 2 hours but then it got cool and started to rain. We headed in, worked out, showered, and walked the shops. Good thing we headed in when we did because a huge tropical storm came with very high winds.
While the storm continued we went out to the hotel restaurant that had an buffet deal with fresh seafood. We ate tons of food and got to listen to a Philippine band.

The next day I wanted to wake up early for the complimentary breakfast since we haven't had normal breakfast food in awhile. Well, when I woke up it was storming again. Raining, thundering, and lightening really bad. I was really upset and kept checking the weather and radar to see if it will pass. I am missing my annual family vacation to the beach this week and this weekend beach trip was helping me get through the time I am missing with my family and a rained out weekend would ruin it.

Luckily, the weather cleared and it turned into the most perfect beach day anyone could ask for!

The storm had washed up this huge jelly fish. The thing was almost as big as me. Ally and I stuck our feet by it just to compare and just having our foot in the water by its tentacles stung our feet and we had red marks for the rest of the day.

We weren't going to go swimming knowing these were in the water and because the water was not the cleanest but we ended up going in twice; we had to since we were hot. The water ended up being warmer than most oceans and it was nice. There were no waves but it was refreshing.

The beach weekend was a success and we want to go again and take some our friends who are interested in going with us!
